How Returns Work
The Comeup is a marketplace connecting you with independent brands. Each brand handles their own returns and sets their own policies. Here's the general process:
Contact the brand
Find their contact info on the brand page or your order confirmation
Explain the issue
Include your order number and photos if relevant
Ship it back
The brand will provide return instructions and shipping info
Get your refund
Once received, the brand processes your refund
What's Usually Returnable
Typically accepted
- • Unworn items with tags attached
- • Wrong size or color received
- • Defective or damaged items
- • Items that don't match description
Usually not accepted
- • Worn or washed items
- • Items without original tags
- • Final sale / clearance items
- • Custom or personalized orders
Shipping Costs
Return shipping policies vary by brand:
- Brand's mistake (wrong item, defective): Brand usually covers shipping
- Change of mind (doesn't fit, don't like it): Buyer usually covers shipping
Check with the brand before shipping. Some offer prepaid labels, others provide a shipping address for you to ship on your own.
Refund Timeline
Once the brand receives your return:
- Brands typically process refunds within 5-7 business days
- Your bank may take 3-10 business days to reflect the refund
- Refunds go back to your original payment method
Having Issues?
If you're having trouble with a brand or they're unresponsive:
- Give them 48-72 hours to respond
- Check your spam folder for their reply

Include your order number and a summary of your communication attempts. We'll help mediate and make sure you're taken care of.
For Brands
Brands on The Comeup are expected to have clear return policies, respond to return requests within 48 hours, and process refunds promptly. Brands with poor return practices may be removed from the platform. Need to update your return policy? Head to your brand dashboard.
